I was so excited when I got the news that Brilynn finally decided to see the world.  I couldn't wait to do her shoot.  She is absolutely perfect.   I am thinking I need to do a cast call for some new poses just so I can do another shoot with her before her 6 month appointment.  Congrats to the new mommy and daddy!

This little bundle of joy is the nephew of some very good friends of mine.  I was SO excited to do his shoot.  He is perfect...I know I say that about all the babies but I can't imagine anything more perfect...so sweet and innocent and he is so stinking cute!   I think one of his favorite things to do is pee...with that said....no nudey shots today....maybe his next shoot : )  Thank you so much for having me be a part of his first shoot.  

Tupa Family

So the Tupas just moved into a new home which is surrounded by trees, long green grass, and horse stables.  A perfect setting for some family pictures.  Joshie was as cute as ever walking around and discovering grass, leaves and whatever else he could find.  We walked all over the open area, shooting for about an hour.   When it was time to go I realized my keys were gone.  So we spent another hour re-tracing our footsteps through the long grass....I called Mark (my husband) to start driving over with my spare set when I found them.  How lucky were we that day?

Lance and Alicias Preview

The first house I rented was next door to an amazing couple who had two beautiful little girls.  In no time we became friends.  Their oldest daughter, about 8 at the time, loved to hang out with me.  We would do girly things...paint nails, do hair etc.  I was obviously still a kid at heart.  I moved and we drifted apart but thanks to facebook we have reconnected .  I was so excited when I found out that little girl was having a little girl of her own.   Alicia, I am so happy to have reconnected with you and your family and thank you for asking me to be a part of this exciting moment in your life!   Enjoy your sneak peek.....

Engagement

If you follow my blog, then you know just how fresh I am.   You have seen my growth over the past few months.  I owe most of my growth to this awesome couple.  Jay and Melissa have allowed me to photograph them since the day I decided to dive into photography.  They were my first maternity shoot, my first infant shoot (and every month after) and my first engagement shoot.  I am truly grateful to them.  When I try new poses with them...they are good with it....when I do something that doesn't work...we laugh together.  It has been a lot of fun.  I hope to photograph them for years to come.

I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to photograph Katelyn since she was 10 days old.  We do a session each month.  It is awesome to look back and see the growth.  She is such a happy little girl who can't stop smiling at her daddy but she makes sure mommy is in her eyes view.  I can't wait for next months session!

Dad worked today so the kids and I went to the park.  We hiked for hours.  While the kids were chasing lizards and squirrels I was chasing them with my camera.  They really are my toughest subjects to shoot.  They don't want anything to do with it.  I still managed to get a few good shots.  Here are just a couple....I will be posting more soon.

Happy first Birthday Scarlett!  She is so stinking cute.  Check out her bling.  I mean really!  How many birthday outfits are this fun!  She has a very creative and detailed mommy.    She whipped up the zebra bow in two minutes.  I was amazed.  Hmm...can you say props?  What a great moment.  It was awesome to be a part of it!   

Sweet Lily Girl

 I was really excited to do this shoot.  I don't know what it is about infants but I  LOVE having them in front of my lens.  They are just so sweet and innocent and this lil girl is about as sweet as they come.  I was so happy to be a part of her first photo session.  Thank you mom and dad!  

Joshie

Josh has to be the happiest little man I have ever seen. So carefree and always on the go. He has these gorgeous blue eyes and the sweetest personality. He is such a cutie!  He was so funny.....he wanted to play with the bags I brought the props over in but had no interest in the props...reminds me of Caden and Rylie when they were this age.  The box was always so much more fun than the toy.

Sweet Katelyn

Watching a baby grow is the most amazing thing.  Caden and Rylie grew up before my eyes without me even noticing.  One day they were itty bitty(Summers quote) and the next they were walking.  I think it has a lot to do with the fact I was with them every day.  I didn't really notice the change.  I have shot Katelyn since she was 10 days old and yesterday was her three month session.  Look at how much she has grown.  I am so happy I am able to capture these moments.  She will not be this itty bitty for long.  She is such a sweet, beautiful little girl.  Thanks Jay and Melissa and embrace the itty bitty moments!
